Chief Tawermwai gave the order for Togomei to blow the largest triton shell horn I had ever seen used in Micronesia to call the men and women to dance. Togomei, also an old friend, was instrumental in helping the Satawalese master navigator Urupiy to perform the Pwo intiation and schooling ritual which I filmed on Lamotrek Atoll in 1990.Micronesian Tour 1999 | Return to Home Page
